What Binseek is
Binseek is an app for remembering where your things are. Photograph the inside of a bin, drawer, shelf or closet, and Binseek builds a searchable record of what it can see.
Later, search the way you would ask a person — “Christmas lights”, “camping stove” — and it tells you which container holds it and where that container is. You confirm what it finds, so the record stays yours and stays accurate.
Why Binseek asks you to sign in
Signing in is what lets your record follow you — to a new phone, or back after a reinstall. Without an account, everything Binseek remembers lives only on the device that recorded it.
If you sign in with Google, Binseek asks for your name, email address and profile picture, and uses them only to identify your account. It does not read your Gmail, your Drive, your contacts or your calendar, and does not ask for permission to.
